Ushering in a radical evolution of the fan experience, NIKE and the NBA have unveiled a new innovation: the Nike NBA Connected Jersey, the first NBA jersey that gives the wearer an all-access pass into the world of their favourite team and players.

“When you think about basketball, you think of Nike and the NBA,” said Mark Parker, Chairman, CEO and President of NIKE, Inc. “After helping fuel the sport’s impact for years, we are thrilled to now be able to push the boundaries of what’s possible directly with the NBA. From modernising the look of the game to revolutionising how fans can be a part of it.”

“Our Nike uniforms set a new standard for connecting our most passionate fans with their favorite NBA teams and players,” said Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner. “Nike has once again taken the game of basketball to a new level, this time with one of the most advanced jerseys in sports.”

Using new NikeConnect technology, each adult-sized Nike NBA Connected Jersey will have an embedded NFC (near field communication) chip that will launch real-time team and player content such as pregame arrival footage, highlight packages and top players’ favourite music playlists – all on the jersey owner’s mobile device. Throughout the season, a wealth of exclusive offers and experiences will bring fans closer to the game they love.

To unlock it all, fans will download the NikeConnect app and tap the jersey with their smartphone.

NIKE PITCH DARK – PITCH PERFECT

Nike have put a spin on the classics and thrown up one of the coolest range of boots you will find anywhere.

The Spark Brilliance pack, lit up Euro 2016 but Nike have come out of the blocks ahead of the 2016/17 season with an absolutely brilliant new range of old school black with fantastic neon colours to really stand out. It’s the classic black boot but not as you know it!

The new Nike Pink Black pack all combine a black base with striking accents colours in the detailing and branding. The iconic Nike Swoosh even glows in the dark! (It’s hardly necessary but that makes it even cooler!)

NIKE HYPERVENOM PHANTOM II – BLACK / VOLT

For the Nike Mercurial Superfly V, Nike have worked on a black base with pink which is used for the Swooshes, Mercurial brandings and the lower part of the studs. Also available as Nike Mercurial Vapor XI. (below). We can see these being a firm favourite with many many people this season.

NIKE FREE RN – THE REVOLUTION IS REAL

The Nike Free RN Flyknit features a revolutionary new outsole pattern that expands multi-directionally so you can move more dynamically and naturally than ever before. Its single-seam upper provides the incredible sock-like fit of Flyknit for total comfort throughout your run. In other words, the Nike Free’s do not just look great, they are great.

The concept of Nike Free was born in 2001, when insights from a legendary coach inspired designers to create footwear that mimicked the feel of barefoot training but incorporated important protection and support. The first expression of this study released in 2004 via a shoe with a siped outsole (deeply cut grooves that allow the sole to flex freely and translate a barefoot-like feel to all surfaces). Twelve years later, the Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit takes that original technology even further.

Drawing upon new studies that reveal how the foot expands and contracts upon impact with, and liftoff from, the ground, Nike designers developed an auxetic, or splaying, midsole. Spreading across two planes, the geometric tri-star form mimics how the body and foot react to force and accounts for the massive changes in foot size — approximately one size in length and two sizes in width — that occur throughout a runner’s stride.

To form the new tooling, the designers employed a new dual-injection technology. Using heat, instead of glue, they fused two foams into one piece that still features an IU foam carrier and soft IP core but introduces even more cushioning than past Nike Free models.

The Nike Free Run Distance continues the Nike Free principle of providing extremely flexible and very light shoes for the ultimate in natural running.

The lightweight Lunarlon cushioning system delivers miles of soft responsiveness. It fuses soft foam and a lightweight Phylon carrier to deliver an excellent blend of plush comfort and durable support to go the distance.

Single-layer, engineered knit helps keep your feet cool, while Flywire cables integrated with the laces wrap your arch for an adaptive, supportive fit.
