Terms & Conditions FAI WCQ’s

1. The promoter is: Intersport Elverys whose registered office is at Moneen Rd, Castlebar, Co Mayo.

2. The competition is open to residents of the Ireland aged 18 years or over except employees of Intersport Elverys and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

5. Route to entry for the competition are on the FAI & Intersport Elverys social channels and sign up via Intersport Elverys blog.

6. Only one entry will be accepted per person.

7. Closing date for entry is the 3rd of September.

8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

9. The rules of the competition and how to enter simply filling in the form on our blog.

10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

12. The prize includes a 2 tickets to Ireland vs Azerbaijan or Serbia.

13. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

14. Winners will be chosen: [at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.] The winners will be notified by email and or text within 3 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 3 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The winners will be announced on the FAI social media channels.

15. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.

16. The entrant is happy to appear on the FAI and Intersport Elverys social channels in any photography or video captured on the day. If this is an issue for any participants please inform us prior to the closing of said event. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [Irish] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

17. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

19. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

20. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Intersport Elverys’ Adidas Team Mode & Manchester United Launch

The new football season has started with a bang and all football supporters are really excited to see what the next 9 months of football will bring. Here at Intersport Elverys, we look forward to the new season as much as anyone else, but we also get really excited about seeing players wearing their new boots. The boots we were on the lookout for were the new adidas Team Mode collection. We spotted Pogba, Ozil and Alli wearing the Predator, Salah and Jesus were sporting the new X, Dybala was wearing the new Copa while linking up with CR7 and Lionel Messi was strutting his stuff in the new Nemeziz. We will be on the lookout more intently over the next few weeks to see who else is wearing boots from the new Team Mode pack!

2018/19 Premier League: The Contenders

It’s hard to believe, but the new Premier League season starts on Friday evening when Manchester United host Leicester City at Old Trafford. All football fans are bursting with excitement in anticipation of how new the season will go. Who will win the league? Who’ll be top scorer? Who will they put in their fantasy team? Today at Intersport Elverys Towers we are going to take a closer look at the leading contenders to win the Premier League (unless some team pulls a Leicester City like stunt).

Manchester City

Last years Champions are looking very strong again if Sunday’s 2-0 win over Chelsea in the Community Shield is anything to go by. They have added former PFA Players’ Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez to their already frightening attack. Pep has also blooded a number of youngster who look like they have real potential, in pre-season friendlies. City hit 100 points last year and it will take some team to overthrow them.

Manchester United

Manchester Untied finished a distant runner-up last season to their “noisy neighbors” and early indications points to a difficult season ahead, as Jose Mourinho’s traditional 3rd season meltdown appears to be taking hold early in pre-season (but it could also be mind-games from the Portuguese manager). United have a strong enough squad to contend, but with all the doom and gloom around Old Trafford before the season has even started suggests it may not be the Red Devils best season.

Tottenham Hotspurs

Spurs came third in the Premier League last season and have a vibrant young team, with one of the best coaches in the game in many peoples eyes. However, they have been stagnant in the transfer market and as the old saying goes “you need to speculate to accumulate” feels apt in their case as they have not added anyone to their ranks. We have a feeling that they will find it difficult to bridge the gap to City but with top class attacking players Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen they can cause any team problems.

Liverpool

According to most pundits, Liverpool appear the team most likely to put it up to Man City. The Champions League finalists have bolstered their squad with 4 top quality signings Alisson Becker, Naby Keïta, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho who will help their cause no end. If Liverpool can blend the attacking flair that they played with so often last season with some defensive stability, they could be right in the mix at the end of the season.

Chelsea

Chelsea came 5th last season and it is hard to predict how they will fare this season. The 2016/17 Champions have a new coach Maurizio Sarri in charge (replacing fellow Italian Conte). Their new manager has gone to England as somewhat of an unknown quantity, aside from his exploits with Napoli the last few seasons. If they can keep hold of their key players, they should do much better then they did last season but a shot at the title may be beyond them. Time will tell!

Arsenal

Of all the top 6 teams from last season, Arsenal are the ones we are most intrigued to see. They have a new man at helm for the first time since 1996, after Arsene Wenger’s reign came to an end last season. They have brought in a number of new players to freshen up the team and who will add support to their attacking threats. If they get off to a good start, the Gunners could get back into the Champions League spots and build towards a brighter future. If not, we’re sure to see Arsenal TV plastered all over our social channels again.
