Irish Rugby at Intersport Elverys

2019 was a mixed year for Irish Rugby. The Rugby World Cup journey came to a premature ending against the mighty All Blacks at the Quarter Final stage, in which was ultimately Joe Schmidt’s final game, after years of unparalleled success. We’ve not doubt Andy Farrell will build on this success.

The Sevens teams are going from strength to strength, with both teams now on the World Rugby Series stage, which can only be a good thing going forward for the game. As title sponsors of both the men’s and women’s team sevens teams, Intersport Elverys are delighted to see this progress and long may it continue.

Over the course of 2019, Intersport Elverys got the chance to make some great videos with the Irish Rugby players and management. Check some of them out below.

The Rugby World Cup journey came to a premature ending against the mighty All Blacks at the Quarter Final stage, in which was ultimately Joe Schmidt’s final game, after years of unparalleled success. We’ve not doubt Andy Farrell will build on this success. He has already named his training squad for 2020, and he will no doubt be looking to implement his style on this team during the Six Nations and the Summer Tour in Australia as he builds for the future. The All Blacks will be looking to the future under the stewardship of new head coach Ian Foster and will have one eye on the 2023 World Cup. After capturing their 3rd World Cup, South Africa will be happy enough to keep their process going and build on their success under former Munster man Rassie Erasmus and prepare for the Visit of the British and Irish Lions in 2021. Australia will be preparing for the visit of Ireland during the summer, which could be a cracking series. At Intersport Elverys, we’ve a fantastic range of rugby jerseys from all over the World. It’s hard to believe, but the 2020 GAA season is upon us. 2019 is behind us (apart from the All Ireland Club Championships) and all GAA supporters are dreaming of what might happen in the year ahead. League, Provincial and All Ireland glory could be on the horizon…or that’s the hope anyway.

Mayo

As title sponsors of Mayo GAA, we were delighted to see the men’s senior team capture their first national title since 2001, after beating Kerry in the National League final and reaching the All Ireland semi final, as did the ladies team. They will both be hoping to go two steps further in 2020 and capture the All Ireland titles. We have a massive range of Mayo GAA gear available in-store and online including the Mayo LGFA jersey. 2020 could be a big year for the Mayo footballers, hurlers and ladies teams.
